Honda VT750C Recall Notice

Honda VT750C: Damaged connector in the handlebar mounted switch causes headlight to fail

What is the reason for this notice?
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2006 model year VT750C motorcycles. A damaged connector in the handlebar mounted headlight switch may cause the headlight to flicker and eventually fail. If riding at night, the sudden loss of headlights could result in a crash.

What should you do?
Honda recommends that you avoid riding at night until your VT750C has been repaired. If you choose to continue riding your un-repaired motorcycle after dark, ride cautiously and be aware that the headlight could flicker and may fail completely. If you detect any problem with your headlight, stop riding and contact any Honda dealer.

Please call any authorized Honda motorcycle dealer and make an appointment to have your VT750C repaired. The dealer will install new left and right handlebar switch assemblies. Although the repair will take less than two hours, please plan to leave your VT750C for a day to allow the dealer flexibility in scheduling.

If you previously paid for a repair for this problem, you may be eligible for reimbursement. Please call Motorcycle Customer Support at (866) 784-1870 for assistance.

Who to contact if you experience problems. If you are not satisfied with the service you receive from your Honda dealer, you may write to:
